Pregnancy is....
...being inexplicably awake for hours in the middle of the night only to be exhausted all day - but gosh, have I read a lot of great books! ...heartburn, heartburn and more heartburn - thanks to Barb and her endless homeopathic remedies I've started taking fish oil and chewing gum ...dramatically vascillating between craving everything and wanting nothing. Tiger Milk bars and tuna melts have been my only weekly constants. But if I so much as smell truffles or truffle oil.... ...countless precious moments with Alex...talking to my belly, sharing his toys with my belly, sticking his sippy cup in my belly button to share his milk with the baby, dictating where she is going to sleep, and all around loving the idea of her before he's ever met her ...jolting kicks and stabs that knock the wind out of me and make me wonder how this little thing could possibly be so strong ...a hubby who is so excited to have a little girl that he's started working out and getting into shape just so he can be her 'hot papa' ...exhaustion and elation, anxiety and joy, complete gratitude and utter amazement at the little miracle growing in my belly We're scheduled to be induced Wednesday night of Holy Week, April 20th, which is one week before the original due date. It feels both strange and delightful to schedule labor. Strange to try and control something that should happen naturally, but so helpful to be able to make arrangements for Alex. Send us prayers and wish us well, friends. We'll post pictures of our little girl soon. Lots of love!
